PROBLEM
An innovative Market Research startup faced significant operational challenges following several rounds of layoffs and an acquisition. Despite having an excellent product and a strong roster of clients, their process had become fragmented and individualized, leading to inefficiencies and inconsistencies in service delivery.

In collaboration with the operations manager and client-facing team members, I conducted in-depth interviews with each player involved in the process. This comprehensive information-gathering effort revealed numerous instances of duplicative work and gaps in practice. Using the insights from these interviews, I created a visualized map of the entire process.

Next, I facilitated retraining sessions for the team, focusing on the optimized process and the resources available for their everyday practice. This new process map became a pivotal tool in identifying opportunities for automation and AI enhancements in collaboration with the product team. These technological integrations further streamlined the process, enhancing the delivery of insights.

Value: The intervention not only standardized and streamlined the workflow but also unlocked significant efficiencies by reducing duplicative efforts and closing operational gaps. The introduction of automation and AI-driven solutions empowered the team to deliver insights more rapidly and accurately, thereby boosting the startup’s overall productivity and service quality.
